Straightforward pricing
Approximately 60 minutes of flight time in a two-hour reservation, including briefing and debriefing. Observers are $59 each, subject to safety limits.

Your training aircraft
A four-seat, low-wing PA-28-161 trainer with a familiar cockpit layout and a long history in flight training. Training consistently in one aircraft reduces unnecessary transition time and helps you build repeatable procedures.

New pilots can begin with a discovery lesson. Current pilots review experience, logbook status and recent proficiency. See the returning-pilot plan.
Set a realistic lesson frequency, identify prerequisites and understand what each phase requires.
Progress through briefings, flight lessons, ground study, stage goals and checkride preparation based on proficiency.
Choose your flight
Choose the number of people coming. Your two-hour reservation includes briefing, approximately 60 minutes of flight instruction, and a post-flight discussion.

Each additional observer is $59. Observer carriage is subject to available seats, approximate passenger weights, aircraft weight-and-balance limits, weather, safety, and instructor approval. Three-customer carriage is not guaranteed.

The typical combined Piper Warrior II and instructor rate is $200–$249 per flight hour. Total certificate cost varies because students complete training when they meet FAA knowledge, experience and proficiency standards—not when a package clock expires.
No experience is required for a discovery lesson or to begin private-pilot training. Instrument and commercial applicants need the appropriate existing certificate and aeronautical experience; Reza can review your logbook and starting point.
You do not need a medical certificate simply to take a discovery lesson with an instructor. Most private-pilot students obtain an appropriate medical certificate before solo flight. Read the FAA medical guide for student pilots.
Van Nuys places students in active, controlled Los Angeles airspace. With proper instruction, that environment builds radio discipline, situational awareness and confident airport operations from the beginning.
When conducted and logged as flight instruction by an authorized instructor, eligible discovery-lesson time may count toward pilot training. Your logbook entry and training path will be discussed after the lesson.
